Remote Settings
There are two layers of settings on the system detail page: Site → Settings (usage strategies the owner can see) and the System Settings tab (device-level parameters). This page covers each in turn.
⚠️ Note: Remote changes are pushed to the device in real time and affect the owner's Profit and experience. Confirm the operating conditions before making changes, and for important changes it is best to speak with the owner first.
Site → Settings (site usage strategies)
Four commonly used strategy groups, matching the settings the owner sees in the AlphaESS App:
| Setting | Description |
|---|---|
| Battery SOC settings | Upper and lower battery SOC limits (e.g. Backup Reserve) |
| Work Mode | Work Mode (e.g. Self-Consumption and others, depending on the model / region) |
| Storm Guard | Storm-warning charging (Disabled by default; once enabled, the battery is automatically charged to full ahead of severe weather) |
| Away Mode | Away Mode |

System Settings (device-level parameters)
Navigate by the groups on the left:
| Group | Contents |
|---|---|
| DEVICE / Basic Information | Model, SN, Check code, Work Mode, Operation Mode; Device Information (Country, Address, Post Code, Time Zone, End User Remark, Allow Auto Update) |
| HARDWARE | Inverter / Meter / Battery parameters |
| NETWORK | WiFi configuration |
| CONTROL | AUX Contact Setting, Feed/Buy power (feed-in / purchased power limits) |
| DIAGNOSTICS | Diagnostic tools |

💡 Tip: The Check code on this page can be copied and passed on to owners / colleagues for binding purposes; Allow Auto Update determines whether the device upgrades automatically when new firmware is released.
Site → Site Info (site and owner information)
Maintain the site record and the owner's contact details:
- Basic Information: owner's username, number of systems, installed power, battery capacity
- Site Info: Site Name, Country, Address (click Edit to change)
- User information: owner's E-mail, Contact Person, Contact number

Site → Electricity Tariff
Configure the site's electricity tariff scheme (purchase / feed-in prices and time periods). This is the underlying data for Profit statistics and the tariff-based scheduling modes. The interface varies by country / tariff type, so it is not covered in detail here.
