Authorized Apps

Third-party apps — smart-home platforms, energy optimisers, aggregators — can connect to your system through the AlphaESS OpenAPI, but only with your permission. The Authorized Apps page shows exactly who has access to what.

Authorized Apps page

Reading the list

Apps are grouped per device. For each authorised app you see:

ColumnMeaning
App nameThe third-party application (e.g. a smart-home platform)
PermissionsWhat the app may do — see below
authorized dateWhen you granted access

Permission scopes

ScopeThe app can…
TelemetryRead your system's measurement data (power, energy, battery level)
LocationSee the location of your system
ControlSteer charging/discharging. (exclusive) means only this app may control the device — a second controlling app cannot be authorised at the same time

Where do these authorisations come from?

When you connect a third-party service to your AlphaESS system (for example linking it in the partner's app), you approve an authorisation screen — the result is listed here. Review this page occasionally and remove access for apps you no longer use.

⚠️ An app with Control permission can change how your battery behaves. Only authorise services you trust, and note that an exclusive control authorisation blocks other apps from controlling the same device.
