Third-Party Devices

Shelly is the only third-party brand Energy Life can bind. To bind your storage system or an AlphaESS accessory, see AlphaESS Devices.

Before You Bind a Shelly Device

Before you bind a Shelly device to your home energy system, add it to your Shelly account first, using either the Shelly Smart Control app or control.shelly.cloud.

Shelly Energy Meter

The Shelly Energy Meter is used only to monitor the household electricity meter in balcony photovoltaic products. You can bind it from any of three places:

1. From the grid side of the home page, tap Third-party device, then Shelly, and select the device to run as a Grid Meter.
2. From Self-Consumption on the home page mode page, tap Third-party device, then Shelly, and select the device to run as a Grid Meter.
3. On the home page or the device list, tap + in the top right corner and select Add New Device. Under Third-party monitoring accessory, tap Shelly, then select the device to run as a Grid Meter.

• Make sure the device is powered on and waiting for network configuration.
• Make sure the home or public network you are using can access the internet normally.
• After the device is bound, it goes through a status check lasting about 30 seconds. Please wait.
• If the app says the device is already bound, unbind it from the home energy system it is bound to first.
• The Shelly Energy Meter must be fitted on the incoming side as required. If it is fitted anywhere else, the data shown for it will be wrong.

Shelly Plug

On the home page or the device list, tap + in the top right corner and select Add New Device. Under Third-party monitoring accessory, tap Shelly and authorise the device for access and control.
